A Dog-Friendly Holiday Home

Mutton Barn sleeps up to 10 guests and welcomes up to 3 small dogs, 2 medium, or 1 large dog (with a fee of £85 per dog per stay). We’re always happy to chat if you’re unsure which category your dog fits into.

The garden is large and fully enclosed, so dogs can potter, play and snooze safely while you soak in the wood-fired hot tub or linger over a long lunch on the patio. There’s plenty of space for children and dogs to enjoy the fresh air together, with countryside views in every direction.

Walks from the Gate – 125 Miles of Freedom

If your dog loves a good walk, this is their idea of heaven. The garden gate opens directly onto the Heart of England Way and the Arden Way, with around 125 miles of footpaths to explore straight from the door. No need to bundle everyone into the car – just clip on the lead and step out into ancient woodland, hills and open fields.

From gentle evening strolls to all-day adventures, there are routes to suit every energy level. You might spot our resident muntjac deer, Gary and Mary, or hear the barn owls calling as dusk settles over the hills.

Practical Comforts for Dogs (and Their Humans)

After muddy adventures, there’s an outside hot and cold dog shower to rinse off paws before heading back inside. It keeps the marble floors happy and means your dog can curl up clean and cosy by the log fire.

Inside, there’s plenty of space for beds and blankets in the open-plan living area, with a warm double-sided wood-burning stove that quickly becomes the favourite napping spot. The secure garden, easy access to walks and thoughtful touches make it simple to travel with dogs without feeling like you’re compromising on luxury.
