Buzzards fly high above, often accompanied by other birds of prey. The resident Barn Owls hunt daily—we have been lucky to have broods most years, so remember to bring your camera!

You might also meet Gary and Mary, our Muntjac deer who are frequent visitors at the bird table. Watch as deer wander from the wood to feed at dawn and dusk, or if you are patient, catch the weasels dancing.

Mutton Barn is the ideal dog friendly holiday home. From the garden, the gate opens directly on to two footpaths, The Heart of England Way and the Arden Way, leaving you spoilt for choice with over 125 miles of rural paths to explore.

We have dozens of circular walks, some via dog-friendly pubs that offer a welcome stop for drinks or lunch. In addition, we have an outside hot/cold shower waiting for your dog’s return home.
